Slow Cooked Beef Curry - RECIPE Video

Slow Cooked Beef Curry is an amazingly simple dish designed for the slow cooker / crock pot. Beef steak is chopped into small chunks and dredged in flour and curry powder. Onions, Raisins and Apple are added to the pot to create a delicious, filling, mild curry that the whole family will love - Give it a go!

RECIPE FACT SHEET

INGREDIENTS IN THIS DISH:

1kg of Beef (chopped into small pieces)
1/2 Cup of Plain Flour
1 Tablespoon of Curry Powder
1 Cup of Sultanas or Raisins
2 Onions (peeled and chopped)
2 Green Apples (cored and chopped, skin on)
2 Teaspoons of Crushed Garlic (2 Cloves)
1 1/2 Cups of Liquid Beef Stock
Salt and Pepper (to season)
White Rice (to serve)

Preparation Time: About 10 minutes
Cooking Time: About 4 - 6 hours on LOW setting


ALL MEASUREMENTS GIVEN ARE AUSTRALIAN STANDARD METRIC

I made this last night - it was really good except the raisins were like? waterlogged, slugs and the apple morphed into apple curry gravy... next time I will put those ingredients in half way through the cooking cycle, thanks for the recipe

@GigaBoost The slow cooker allows one to have time without spending it in the kitchen all day, especially good if you are a student or have long hours of work, just add your ingredients and heat setting and when you come home your dinner is done. A pot on the stove on low heat would not be? the same, and leaving it for that amount of hours alone is dangerous and uses lots of energy. A slow cooker is convenient.

What is the point of? this machine? A slow cooker? Can't you just use a regular pot that you put on a stove on low heat? I've never heard of a slow cooker...
